There are many benefits of Ustrasana, it makes the spine, back, shoulders and neck flexible and strong and also provides relief from pain in these organs, it also provides relief from asthma and shortness of breath and problems of the lungs and digestive system. A part from this, it also helps in the removal of toxins from the body through the kidneys, Ustrasana stimulates the respiratory, circulatory, nervous, digestive and endocrine systems.

Process:- Stand on both knees keeping the thighs straight.
दोनों घुटनों के बल जांघों को सीधा रखते हुए खड़े हो जाएं।

Keep the feet straight on the floor.
पैरों को फर्श पर एकदम सीधा रखें।

Leaning back towards the back, first hold the toes of the feet with one hand and then with the other hand.
पीठ की तरफ पीछे झुककर पहले एक हाथ से फिर दूसरे हाथ से पैरों के पंजों को पकड़ लें।

After that go back as far as possible with both hands together.
उसके बाद दोनों हाथों से एक साथ यथाशक्ति पीछे जाएं।

Hold for 10 to 30 breaths and hold the claws.
10 से 30 सांसों तक रूकें और पंजों को पकड़ कर रखें।

After doing Ustrasana, stay in Adhomukha Svanasana and Shashankasana for 10 breaths.
उष्ट्रासन करने के बाद अधोमुख स्वानासन व शशांकासन में 10 सांसों तक रूकें।

Important:- Patients with high blood pressure and heart problems should not practice Ustrasana.
