Karnapidasana is made up from the combination of karna+pida+Asana, in which ‘Karna’ means Ear , ‘Pida’ means pain and Asana means to seat, pose or posture. Karnapidasana is similar to Halasana, it strengthens the thyroid gland and makes the body flexible. It is also useful for reducing obesity, getting youth and energy. You have to first master in halasana (plough pose) and Sarvangasana (shoulder stand pose) after that attempt this yoga pose of Karnapidasana.

Process- Lie on your back and leave the body loose.
पीठ के बल लेटकर शरीर को ढीला छोड़ दें।
Keep both the hands straight towards the waist.
दोनों हाथ कमर की तरफ सीधा रखें।
The direction of the palms should be downwards.
हथेलियों की दिशा नीचे की ओर हो।
Now while inhaling, slowly raise both the legs and take them above the head, then while exhaling, bring both the knees near the ears.
अब सांस भरते हुए दोनों पैरों को धीरे-धीरे उठाएं और सिर के ऊपर ले जाएंं फिर सांस छोड़ते हुए दोनों घुटनों को कानों के पास ले आएं।
Let the toes and knees touch the ground.
पंजे और घुटने जमीन का स्पर्श करते हुए हों।
After staying in this position for about 10 seconds, slowly move the legs upwards and then come back to the normal position keeping them on the ground.
इस अवस्था में करीब 10 सेकंड रहने के बाद धीरे-धीरे पैरों को पुनः ऊपर की ओर ले जाएं और फिर जमीन पर रखते हुए सामान्य अवस्था में आ जाएं।
After resting for a while, practice again.
कुछ पल विश्राम करने के बाद पुनः अभ्यास करें।
It is enough to practice this 5-6 times a day.
इसको प्रतिदिन 5-6 बार अभ्यास करना पर्याप्त है।
